Get to Know Us
Hi, I'm Ayla
I'm the founder and pattern designer behind Ayla Wan Gurumi. I design, crochet and write up every amigurumi pattern myself.
I started amigurumi with a gift. At university I crocheted my first toy as a present for my partner. That one toy turned into a hobby I couldn't put down.
When people who saw my toys started asking for them, the hobby first became a way to earn some pocket money and, over time, my job. Ayla Wan Gurumi is the name of that journey: I crochet each pattern I design in my studio first, then write it up as a PDF with measurements and round-by-round instructions.
I sell my patterns in English on Etsy and in Turkish on Shopier. My Etsy shop has passed 3,000 sales and more than 300 reviews, with an average rating of 4.9. On the blog I cover the topics beginners struggle with most. Some first drafts are prepared with the help of AI; no post goes live without being read and checked.
The content is written for adults who want to learn to crochet, choose a gift or plan their own amigurumi project. This is not a children's game site; the toys are meant as gifts and collectibles.

Who is this for?
Beginner and intermediate crocheters, people looking for handmade gifts, and anyone who wants reliable amigurumi guidance. This is not a children’s game site; toys are intended as gifts and collectibles.
Our Handmade Process
How It's Made
Material Selection
I carefully choose organic and natural yarns. Every color and texture adds soul to the piece.
Pattern Design
I create an original pattern for each character. Measurements, colors, and details are defined.
Crochet & Production
I crochet patiently, stitch by stitch. Finishing each piece can take hours, but it's worth it.
Quality & Shipping
I inspect every piece and pack it with care. It arrives in a gift box prepared with love.
Our Values
Respect for Handcraft
Every piece is made by hand, not machine. This patience and care gives each toy its soul.
Sustainability
Organic and natural materials, minimal waste, long-lasting products. Production that respects nature.
Love in Every Stitch
Every stitch matters — every pattern and toy is made with love.
